Nearly 400 decks of suspected heroin, cocaine, hundreds of pills and two handguns were seized during a monthlong investigation in Newark, according to the Essex County Sheriff's Office.
Baseer Guy, 49; Teriek Edwards, 48; and Houston McCoy, 32, were arrested Wednesday after investigators searched a home at 196 Irvine Turner Blvd.
Authorities said Guy and Edwards were packaging crack cocaine in the kitchen when officers entered the home. McCoy was found upstairs.
Investigators recovered approximately 390 decks of suspected heroin weighing 19.5 grams, including packages stamped "First 48," "Just Do It" and "Mr. Ropo."
They also found 109 jugs of suspected crack cocaine and approximately 118 grams of suspected powder cocaine. The Sheriff's Office reported a combined cocaine weight of 134.7 grams.
The search also turned up more than a kilogram of suspected marijuana, 645 suspected ecstasy tablets, 236 suspected oxycodone tablets and other suspected drugs.
Two handguns were recovered, including a 9mm Taurus reported stolen from Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Smith & Wesson .380. Investigators also seized six BB guns and $1,147 in suspected drug proceeds.
All three men face multiple drug and weapons charges, including maintaining a drug production facility and possession with intent to distribute drugs within 1,000 feet of a school and 500 feet of public housing.
Guy and Edwards were also charged with possessing weapons as convicted felons.
All three were being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings as of Friday.
