Spring has finally arrived in New Jersey, but it unfortunately brought snow along with it.
The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for most of the state.
The snow is mostly expected to accumulate on colder surfaces, like grassy lawns. Roads and sidewalks may not see as much accumulation, but what does fall could turn very slushy.
As evening temperatures drop, ice could develop on roadways, making driving dangerous. The New Jersey state police report over 100 accidents have been reported since the snow started to fall. Nearly 200 motorists required help from patrols because of the snow.
Speed restrictions have been placed on the Turnpike and Parkway. Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling.
Most New Jerseyans who spoke with News 12 New Jersey say they are tired of the snow and hope the warmer weather comes to the state soon.
