A 19-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting Wednesday night in Trenton, according to police.

Trenton police said officers responded at about 10:45 p.m. to multiple reports of shots fired near New Rose Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Officers found the 19-year-old on Martin Luther King Boulevard with a single gunshot wound. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

The Mercer County Shooting Response Team is investigating.
