A 10-year-old girl has been in the hospital since Wednesday after a hit-and-run crash in Bridgeton. 

Police say the girl was trying to cross East Broad Street near a Wawa but was hit by a white SUV that fled the scene. The girl was flown to Cooper Medical Center with serious injuries and is in critical condition, according to police.  

Police say the vehicle was last seen traveling north on the Bank Street Extension heading toward East Commerce Street.
