This week marks 16 years since a Bridgeport girl disappeared from in front of her school, and her family remains without answers.
Police still have an officer assigned to the case of Bianca Lebron, who was 10 when she disappeared on Nov. 7, 2001.
She was last seen outside the former Elias Howe School on Clinton Avenue, waiting to enter the building with friends.
Then a van pulled up, someone inside called to her, and they drove off, police say.
Bianca's disappearance sparked a nationwide search and was the subject of several TV shows.
She's also still listed on the FBI's website, but despite a reward and several tips, investigators have been unable to find her. They even dug up part of Seaside Park many years after her disappearance when a tip indicated her body was there.
Police released a computer-generated age progression of Bianca a couple years ago. She would be 26 years old today.
Her father now lives in Florida and her mother remains in Connecticut, but no longer in the same home.
Getrude Reboira, Bianca's great aunt, says there is a $62,000 reward for information in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bridgeport police.
