A piece of artwork that is sure to turn heads has been officially unveiled in Jersey City.
News 12 New Jersey has previously reported on the sculpture known as “Water’s Soul.” It depicts an 80-feet tall face that is “shushing” the New York City skyline.
Artist Jaume Plensa says that he hopes it will be a landmark that connects Jersey City with New York City.
"I believe in the spirit of the water too, and its great capacity of connection and transformation. Water, in my opinion, is the great public space. A space that does not belong to no one, but at the same time, it belongs to all of us,” he says.
Plensa has projects around the world, including in Chicago, San Diego, Montreal, London and Dubai.
