Crews battled two fires at the same time Friday in South Brunswick, according to officials.
The first involved a FedEx truck that erupted in flames on Ash Court at around 2:45 p.m.
Officials say the front end of the truck was destroyed by the fire.
Firefighters also responded to a house fire that broke out on Old Ridge Road.
Two dogs died of smoke inhalation during the incident, according to authorities.
