Route 9 bridge lanes reopened following multicar crash
The southbound lanes of the Route 9 Bridge (Edison Bridge) in Sayreville have been reopened following a multivehicle crash that injured four.
Sayreville Police Capt. Glenn Skarzynski says the crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. At least seven vehicles were involved and at least four people were treated for minor injuries.
The incident closed the southbound lanes for nearly two hours, causing a traffic backup.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
