Ridgewood Public Schools have announced an extended Memorial Day weekend to use up all of this school year's snow days.

The school district says emergency closing days are incorporated each year into the school calendar, provided there is no need for the use of an additional emergency day prior to that date.

Schools will be closed for a five-day weekend from Friday, May 24 to Tuesday, May 28.
