Police: Pedestrian seriously injured in Abescon hit-and-run

Police say a 73-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by car in Abescon Sunday afternoon.

Police say a 73-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by car in Abescon Sunday afternoon.
Officials say they were called to the Delilah Road overpass (Route 646) for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian around 12:30 p.m.
They say the pedestrian, from Philadelphia, was walking on the eastbound shoulder of the roadway when he was struck.
Police say the vehicle, which was described as a silver SUV, struck the man and continued eastbound onto Absecon Boulevard (Route 30) toward Atlantic City.
The man was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center - City Division with serious injuries.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Absecon Police Department at 609-641-0667.
