Police: Man charged with wielding machete during road rage incident

Austin Martinez was charged with making terroristic threats and weapons possession.

A Beachwood man was accused of wielding a machete during a road rage incident in Toms River.
Police say it happened Wednesday night. They say someone was stopped at a red light on Water Street when a man tapped on the window of their car with a machete.
Police say a chase then ensued and the two eventually ended up at the Ocean County Mall. The victim then called police.
Police say authorities eventually caught up with Austin Martinez in Brick Township and took him into custody.
Martinez was charged with making terroristic threats and weapons possession.
