The number of confirmed West Nile cases in the state is continuing to rise.
Last week, a ninth person tested positive for virus in Cape May County.
Bergen and Hunterdon counties both had two confirmed cases while Ocean and Somerset counties had one confirmed case each.
Experts say the rain continues to help mosquito populations multiply.
The state Department of Health is reminding people to clear all standing water from their property especially if rains ramp up this week.
