Boaters record humpback whale off NJ coast

<p>A humpback whale got up close and personal with a group of boaters Thursday and the encounter was caught on camera.</p>

A humpback whale got up close and personal with a group of boaters Thursday and the encounter was caught on camera.
The whale was spotted just south of the Verrazano Bridge. The News 12 viewer who recorded the video says that it happened around 1 p.m. Thursday while he was boating between Staten Island and Perth Amboy.
The viewer says that the whale was feeding on bunker fish when it breached right next to his boat.
