Jersey Proud: Red Cross volunteers make sure Mount Holly residents have smoke detectors

Volunteers knocked on 1,200 doors and installed 131 smoke detectors in 67 homes.

Members of the American Red Cross went door-to-door in Mount Holly to make sure residents had smoke detectors.
Volunteers were ready to install one for free to those who didn’t.
It is part of the Red Cross’s Sound the Alarm event.
Volunteers say they knocked on 1,200 doors and installed 131 smoke detectors in 67 homes.
