Witnesses: Man threatened to jump off roof of Linden City Hall

The streets around Linden City Hall were closed for several hours Monday after a man climbed up on the roof of the building and threatened to jump.

The streets around Linden City Hall were closed for several hours Monday after a man climbed up on the roof of the building and threatened to jump.
Witnesses tell News 12 New Jersey that there was a large police presence outside City Hall, which is located at 300 North Wood Ave., Monday afternoon.
The Linden Police Department did not provide many details about the incident but confirmed that a man was at City Hall threatening to hurt himself. Police said that that situation ended peacefully around 5:30 p.m.
No one was hurt.
The roads around City Hall have since reopened.
