A Westfield veteran has died after battling COVID-19.
Douglas Manning served as an Army sharpshooter while stationed in Germany.
He lived around the country but settled in Westfield about 40 years ago.
Manning loved his children and grandchildren. He was also a loyal News 12 New Jersey viewer.
Manning was 84 years old.
