Police: West New York man crushed to death between SUV and garage

Police say a man from West New York was killed after being pinned between a vehicle and a detached garage.

Princeton police say a 61-year-old man was struck and killed Wednesday after being crushed between an SUV and a garage in a driveway on Red Hill Road.
Officials say Meliton Hernandez-Morales, of West New York, was killed when the SUV reversed in a driveway he was standing in and hit him. They say Huimei Qiu, 53, of Princeton, was driving a 2011 Lexus GX when he reversed in the residential driveway.
According to officials, Hernandez-Morales was pinned between Qiu’s vehicle and a detached garage. Qiu was not injured.
