Anonymous postings on the state trooper union?s Web site have sparked concern of a possible ticket blitz during the month of May.
A few postings on the password-protected union blog threatened a blitz in retaliation to public criticism over Governor Jon Corzine?s accident.
The postings were leaked to a pair of local radio DJs who read them on the air.
Union President Dave Jones says there is no such blitz planned and the postings were the talk of a few people blowing off steam. Jones says he wants to know who leaked the statements, which are now causing confrontations for troopers on the job.
Meanwhile, the state police union says tickets for the first three days of May are down from last month.
