Rain could change over to snow in parts of the Garden State tonight.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Thursday for Sussex and Warren counties.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says rain is expected to change to snow overnight and accumulations of 3 to 5 inches of snow are possible in northwest New Jersey, especially in the higher elevations.
Gregorio says a flood watch is in effect for most of the day in central and northern New Jersey. A wind advisory is in effect for southern coastal counties that could bring northwest winds with gusts to near 50 mph.
