Periods of rain are expected tonight through very early Saturday morning. The rain that falls will be immediately soaked up by the ground, so flooding is of very little concern. The rain, however, will make roads slippery.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologist Dave Curren says the worst of the rain is expected Saturday morning, but lingering showers will continue through the day. Curren says northeast winds will keep the temperatures much cooler.
