A freeze warning is in effect tonight for Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer and Ocean counties.
Meteorologist Dave Curren says a freeze warning is issued when temperatures drop below freezing, threatening crops and vegetation.
Curren says wind chills will also be bitter tonight. Be prepared for piercing winds that will make the temperature feel like 8-16 degrees. Residents are advised to bundle up and dress in layers at the bus stop and train station tomorrow morning.
