We’re No. 1! Food & Wine names New Jersey as best pizza state

Food & Wine recently published an article ranking the top 10 best pizza states in America.

And it’s no surprise to anyone who lives here, but New Jersey came out on top as the No. 1 pizza state in the country.

Jersey City has often been cited as having some of the best pizza in the country. The article mentions Razza on Grove Street and Bread & Salt on Palisade Avenue. Patsy’s in Paterson and Kinchley’s Tavern in Ramsey are also mentioned as having the best pizza in the Garden State.

Coming in at No. 2 for best pizza state was Connecticut.

New York surprisingly came in as the third best in the country.

Illinois, Michigan, California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio and Missouri rounded out the top 10 pizza states.
