A young man nearly killed in a car crash back on his 22 birthday is proving determination can overcome just about any obstacle, thanks in part to a special program for adults with disabilities.
JFK Medical Center's rehab program helped the now 35-year-old Kevin Greene, and dozens of others like him.
For Kevin, staying still was never an option – until the crash which almost cost him his life.

"I woke up a month and a half later in a hospital and no idea who I was, where I was or why I was there," says Kevin.

But Kevin did remember his love of science, unable to finish college and paralyzed from the chest down.
It didn't stop Kevin from joining a 15-week program offered by JFK Medical Center called vocational rehabilitation.
The program is set up to help place adults with disabilities in entry-level medical field jobs.

Kevin found his calling, working in an endocrine lab for five years and gaining hands on experience before moving to LabCorp in an account executive role.

In the years since his crash, Kevin completed college and plans on returning for his master’s degree in the medical field.
For more information on the vocational rehab programs offered by JFK Medical Center, go to their website.
