Third person dies from injuries in I-80 crash

New Jersey state police say a third person has died from injuries sustained when the vehicle he was riding in crashed into the back of a dump truck stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 80 in Wayne.

Third person dies from injuries in I-80 crash
New Jersey state police say a third person has died from injuries sustained when the vehicle he was riding in crashed into the back of a dump truck stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 80 in Wayne.
Thirteen-year-old Michael LaVecchia III was declared dead Sunday.
He was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that was driven by his father, 37-year-old Michael LaVecchia.
State Police Sgt. Gregory Williams tells NJ.com the elder LaVecchia and 14-year-old Giovanni LaBoy, of Centereach, New York, died on Saturday.
The accident occurred in the eastbound lanes, near exit 53, on Saturday.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
No one was in the dump truck when the crash occurred.
