The athlete who died at the Ironman Championships in Fort Lee on Saturday has been identified as Andrew Naylor, a police officer from Hong Kong.
Officials say Naylor, 43, was pulled out of the Hudson River during the swim portion of the race after experiencing distress, and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
He lives behind a wife and three daughters.
