Three more suspicious packages were intercepted Friday, and one of them was addressed to Sen. Cory Booker's campaign office.
The package was intercepted at a postal facility in Opa Locka, Florida. It never made it to Booker's office at One Port Center in Camden, which is located in a building that also houses the Division of Taxation and PSEG.
Authorities have not released details of what was in the package, but sources told the Associated Press the package is similar to others sent to high-profile critics of President Trump. It also had a return address of Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, of Florida.
The Camden County police chief says there is no danger to any residents in the area, which they verified with canine sweeps.
Sen. Booker tweeted Friday evening, "Grateful for law enforcement's work to bring those responsible to justice & for their vigilance to keep Americans safe. Cowardly acts of terror will never silence or intimidate Americans - they will only strengthen our resolve to stand against fear & hatred."
Authorities say a man has been detained in connection with the suspicious packages.
