A Camden County gym that reopened in defiance of Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order is now suing the state of New Jersey in federal court.
Atilis Gym in Bellmawr has been cited repeatedly for reopening and allowing members to come into the gym. The owners say that they are operating at 20% capacity, have disinfectant protocols in place and make members sign a waiver before coming in.
The lawsuit states that state officials, including Gov. Murphy and Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, violated their constitutional rights by forcing them to close for three months.
