News 12’s Brian Donohue tries to avoid snowstorm coverage

SOMERVILLE -

Most reporters who work in New Jersey will find themselves reporting outside during a major snowstorm at one time or another.

News 12 New Jersey’s Brian Donohue says that he wanted to avoid standing out in the elements Wednesday, so he put the call on social media to find New Jersey residents who were spending the snow day indoors.

Brian’s first stop was at Yestercades arcade in Somerville, where he was able to play all the classic video games that he wanted.

He then visited the Johnson family in Somerville, who invited him to crash in on their snow day. Technology has made it so that most New Jersey residents can work from home, despite many offices being closed in the state.

Donohue says that he expected most people would be inside watching movies or Netflix all day. But the Johnsons were still answering emails and doing other work so that they wouldn’t be behind in their jobs.

Wednesday’s snowstorm was the fourth major winter storm to hit New Jersey in the span of three weeks. It was also the first full day of spring.
