And as we continue to track the storm damage at this hour, news of New Jersey's Tony Caputo is on route 36 in Monmouth County where it appears the road is closed behind you. What's going on there, Tony? It is closed. Alarm from route 35 up by the Monmouth Mall entrance down to Monmouth Road. How you get back to Monmouth University when you're coming off route 36 you see the police cars there, look to your left. It's kind of hard in this, uh, the light that we have right now, but you could see the truck on the, on the other lanes and the lanes coming toward us. Um, the utility pole is down just beyond or just in front of that truck. That's right in front of the Dunkin Donuts. Actually, it looks like it's right between the shoprite and the Dunkin Donuts. And I know a lot of folks coming out of Long Branch will get their coffee at their Dunkan. They're not going to do that this morning. Unfortunately, there are also going to detoured because again, it is closed from Monmouth Road. Route 36 is in both directions up to route 35 at uh Monmouth Mall entrance. If you're traveling up by 35 there are many cones laid out. Uh We had to take a lot of detours and kind of work our way around here through the shopping centers just to get down to the Home Depot area. So we could see this utility pole down. We got those initial reports. Uh We knew uh the, the situation here, but we wanted to get you that visual to show that that utility pole is down from all of the wind we had and again, this saturated ground from all of the rain dry right now, still cold, not much in the way of wind, but now you got these traffic issues that a lot of folks are gonna have to deal with as they're trying to make their way to work on this Thursday morning. Thousands of JCPNL customers are without power. This morning news of New Jersey's Tony Caputo was out there in Ma County this morning. It looks like it's cold out there. You got the winner hat on this morning. Route nine was an issue last night. How's it looking today? Uh There's baseball on, right. But, uh, it's about 35 degrees just crazy right now with everything that we're dealing with. But the good news is for, as far as this area of Monmouth County is concerned, uh, this intersection and its stop lights were out last night, late last night, this, uh, route nine and Casino Drive and there were a couple of other areas along Route nine here in how, where the outage, uh, outages were affecting, uh, travelers. But this morning for the Thursday morning, mute, these lights are up and running again. That is certainly good news as JCP and L crews do their best to get as many areas and as many customers restored as they possibly can at last check at around 530 on the JCP and L outage map in Monmouth County, the number was just above 8000. Now that actually increased a little bit from our 5 a.m. report this morning, but was down dramatically from about 4 a.m. this morning when we saw it well above 13,000 that were out. So those numbers will fluctuate. Sometimes the way it's always been explained to me is sometimes they have to take some people off line to get others back online. But at last check, around 8000 or so at about 530 this morning. So keep in mind as well as Mike had just mentioned the wind and the situation there. Not too bad right now, relatively calm, but when that wind gust picks up, they can't go up in those bucket trucks to make those repairs. So they have to be careful safety first with those crews. But again, they're doing everything they can and will continue to keep you up to date on the outage numbers throughout the state, including here in Monmouth County. But right now, at the very least the Thursday morning commute going smoothly here on route nine through how we are live. Tony Caputo News. 12 New Jersey. At least. Good news for now. Tony.
