Residents in Little Egg Harbor awoke Saturday to a slushy coating of snow, mixed at times with sleet and freezing rain.
Drivers may have even gotten a glimpse of the Santa as he stopped by Jack's NYC Bagels along Route 9 to add to the festive mood.
Doretta Berry, of BerryRich Bakery in Allentown, says the weather sets the mood for the season.
"It sort of just gets everyone in the spirit," Berry says. "It makes everyone feel like Christmas is really coming now."
The snow picked up in Allentown around 10:30 a.m., sticking to the trees and sidewalks but leaving the main street through town only wet.
Further east, it was a slow go on I-95 as roads became slush-covered, causing several crashes.
