The final relic of a New Jersey theme park that has been closed since the 1970s has been removed.
Crews removed the entrance sign to Jungle Habitat Tuesday.
Jungle Habitat was a Warner Bros.-owned theme park in West Milford.
The park featured Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny. Wild animals like lions and bears would roam around the areas on their own.
Warner Bros. planned to expand the park, but local residents at the time were concerned about noise and traffic, so the park was closed.
Most of the park was torn down over the last 40 years, but New Jersey residents would often go hiking and biking on the land. The park was also featured in the magazine Weird New Jersey.
Now that the sign has been removed, state officials have not said what they will do with the land permanently.
