Bush Brothers and Company has announced a voluntary recall of some of its baked bean products.
The recall affects certain 28-ounce cans of Bush’s Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans, Country Style Baked Beans and Original Baked Beans.
Bush Brothers said the recall is due to potentially defective side seams on the cans. The company blamed the problem on a possible temporary quality issue from one of its can suppliers.
Bush Brothers said the problem has since been corrected, and no illnesses were reported in connection with the recall.
Anyone who purchased the affected beans is urged to dispose of them even if they do not look or smell spoiled. CLICK HERE to view the full list of affected lot numbers and Best By dates.
