Police say search efforts are underway for a missing 80-year-old woman from Toms River.

According to New Jersey state police, Marilyn Balzer was last seen leaving her residence Saturday morning in the township's Lake Ridge section.

She has Alzheimer's and may attempt to return to previous residences in Union City or Old Bridge Township, according to police.

Balzer is described as a white woman who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has blue eyes and gray hair, and was last seen wearing a white top and blue jeans.
