Restrictions are in place for a number of hospitals across New Jersey to try and prevent the spread of this year's flu virus.
The hospitals include: Mountainside Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, Palisades Medical Center, Raritan Bay Medical Center (Old Bridge), Raritan Bay Medical Center (Perth Amboy), and Southern Ocean Medical Center.
According to the restrictions, all visitors will have to be at least 12 years old. If they have a fever or cough, they will not be allowed in the hospitals.
The restriction applies to visitors only and not children or adults entering the medical centers for treatment or testing.
The hospitals say they'll lift the restriction once the flu season subsides.
The New Jersey Department of Health says influenza activity level remains high throughout New Jersey.
