Red foxes crowd Ocean City beach
A popular destination at the Jersey Shore is seeing an influx of wild foxes.
Red foxes are now making regular appearances on Ocean City's beach and boardwalk.
Experts believe that the foxes are pups born about six weeks ago and think their den could be underneath the north end of the boardwalk near Browns Family Restaurant.
Officials say the foxes have not shown aggressive or rabid behavior. While they are cute, people are reminded to keep their distance because they are wild animals.
Animal officers in the area say that there are at least five active fox dens in Ocean City.
New Jersey law does not permit the dens to be moved off the barrier island, but they can be relocated somewhere on Ocean City with less foot traffic.
There are discussions currently happening to do just that.
