An arrest has been made in the death of a man found shot and wounded inside a crashed car last month in Perth Amboy.
Middlesex County prosecutors say Robert Hagens is charged with murder and weapons offenses in the death of 41-year-old Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez. It wasn’t known Wednesday if Hagens, a 42-year-old Edison resident, has retained an attorney.
Carrasquillo-Vasquez was found when Perth Amboy police responded to a single-vehicle wreck on Aug. 23. They soon discovered Carrasquillo-Vasquez was inside the car and had been shot several times while driving.
A motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
