Powerful storms Thursday evening bring potential of heavy rain, damaging winds
Powerful storms expected to move through New Jersey Thursday evening have the potential to bring heavy rain and damaging winds.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says that the southern half of the state would see the brunt of the storms.
Thursday’s storms could cause some flooding or power outages from the heavy rain and strong winds. The storms should move out of the area by the overnight hours.
The weather will improve by Friday, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s.
Labor Day weekend is shaping up to see very nice weather. Saturday will see mostly sunny skies with a high of around 78 degrees. Sunday will also see sunny skies with a high of around 80 degrees.
Rain may return to the Garden State by Wednesday.
