Police: Mom, daughter caught stealing as a team at Kohl's
A mother and daughter have been arrested after being accused of stealing around $200 in merchandise at a Kohl's store in Linden.
The daughter, a cashier at the Linden retailer, was apparently unsatisfied with her employee discount and enlisted her mom?s help in trying to steal $200 worth of pocketbooks, according to investigators.
Police arrested 19-year-old Amanpreet Siani and her mother, Surinder Kaur, both of Carteret. According to officials, Siani gave her mother 10 purses to take out of the store, only scanning five at the register before allowing her to leave.
The store's security team saw the entire incident on cameras and called the police.
