Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a Bed-Stuy man.
Authorities arrested Jimmie Russell Friday night, nearly three weeks after they say he shot and killed 44-year-old Robert Fason.
Police say he is one of three suspects involved in the death of Fason, which occurred after a dispute outside a Bed-Stuy bar.
Officials say Fason's body was discovered hours later, despite multiple 911 calls. Two officers were suspended for failing to respond on time.
Fason's family is seeking answers as to why officers took so long to respond. They have filed awrongful death and civil rights claim against the city for $50 million.
Russell was walked out of the 83rd Precinct Friday night. He faces charges of murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
