A Middlesex County teacher is out of the classroom and behind bars Friday after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Amy Burke, 32, has been teaching physical education and health at McGinnis Middle School for 10 years. She's accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy that may have lasted for several months. School officials say another student learned of the relationship and told his parents. They notified the school and the school called police. Burke, who is married and has a 3-year-old son, has been suspended with pay. Burke is charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravatedcriminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child andofficial misconduct. She is being held on $300,000 bail.
