People across New Jersey headed out to their local markets on Monday to stock up on supplies ahead of Wednesday’s anticipated snowstorm.
Employees at the Pennington Market told News 12 New Jersey that they saw an uptick in business this past weekend as word began to spread about Wednesday’s storm, which could bring up to 18 inches of snow to parts of New Jersey.
Customers inside the market Monday morning said that they wanted to beat the rush of people who may put off buying their groceries until the last minute.
Wednesday’s storm is expected to really ramp up by the afternoon and evening hours. The storm is also expected to produce strong winds. Forecasters say that the snow and wind could cause significant power outages around the state.
