Officials step up efforts to reduce speed in Monmouth County

As beaches continue to see huge crowds this summer a borough in Monmouth County wants drivers to follow the speed limit signs.
Officials posted new signs by the entrance to Lake Como warning drivers to slow down.
The speed limit remains at 25 mph from Route 35 to the beach.
News 12 is told more signs will be posted in the coming weeks. 
Similar measures were put in place on 16th Avenue in Belmar where speeding was a regular occurrence.
News 12 is told traffic studies in the area continue to look into more ways to ease congestion and slow down drivers.
