Officials: Man rescued from Raritan River after being swept off walking path

Rescuers with the Somerville Rescue Squad were able to wade through the water and get the man on a float and safely back on dry land.

Officials say a man had to be pulled from the Raritan River on Thursday after floodwaters swept him off a walking path.
Rescuers with the Somerville Rescue Squad were able to wade through the water and get the man on a float and safely back on dry land.
The man may have been suffering from hypothermia, officials added.
