Officials have announced four more tigers and three lions have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Bronx Zoo, weeks after a tiger at the zoo tested positive.

Officials have announced four more tigers and three lions have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Bronx Zoo, weeks after a tiger at the zoo tested positive.

According to officials, they noticed the animals were showing similar symptoms as Nadia, the 4-year-old female Malayan tiger.
Officials say all eight cats are doing well, behaving normally, and eating well. Their coughs have also greatly reduced.

It’s still believed the animals were infected by a staff member, who was either asymptomatically infected or had contact with the animals before developing symptoms.
