Officials say two teenage girls were struck by a beach patrol vehicle in Ship Bottom Saturday.
The incident happened on the 26th Street beach just after 1 p.m.
Reports claim the girls had been speaking with the driver moments before the accident.
The driver, 22-year-old John Purdon, of Barnegat, was charged with reckless driving.
