Hundreds of New Jersey couples intent on recovering wedding photos confiscated by the state?s attorney general expressed disappointment Friday when a judge put the case on hold to consider complaints by photographers.

Employees of the now defunct Celebration Studios don?t want the wedding photos and videos in question released because they say they still haven?t been paid for photography and videography services. The ruling will be withheld for a month as the judge considers their complaints.

The photos were first confiscated by Attorney General Anne Milgram in January when Celebration Studios shut down its New Jersey offices. Milgram seized the photos and videos to investigate whether the studios violated the Consumer Fraud Act.

Celebration Studios is in bankruptcy proceedings and hundreds of New Jersey couples are unable to recover their wedding videos and photographs.
