Police are searching for a teenage girl they believe is responsible for a fatal shooting at a graduation party.

The shooting happened just after midnight Friday at 196 Lincoln St. in Newark.

Nicole Guyette, 18, faces charges of murder and aggravated assault for the shooting. A bullet allegedly fired by Guyette went through the neck and killed recent high school graduate Sujieto Ocasio, also 18.

The bullet struck 15-year-old Jasmine Perez after ripping through Ocasio?s neck. Perez was taken to the hospital and released.

Guyette allegedly shot Ocasio after the two young women exchanged words. A neighbor says he ran to her side after hearing the gunshot, but the teenager was already gone.
