Motorcyclists ride in Haworth to celebrate former cop who died of cancer
Thousands of motorcyclists rode through Haworth Sunday in honor of a former Cresskill Police Department sergeant and for charity.
The Andiamo Bike Run, which is in its seventh year, was co-founded by Mike O?Loughlin to benefit the local community. O?Loughlin, 39, lost his three-year battle with colon cancer on August 21, leaving behind two small children. His friends remember him as a man who cared for others, always smiled and made people feel happy.
More than 5,000 bikers from across the nation donned commemorative shirts bearing O?Loughlin?s badge number. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mikey ?O? Cancer Fund, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and other organizations.
