More than 200 Jersey City teachers may not teach in 2020-2021, in response to survey

More than 200 teachers in the Jersey City Public Schools say they may not return to teach in the district in 2020-21 due to personal or family health concerns, in response to a survey on whether or not they plan on returning to work.

More than 200 teachers in the Jersey City Public Schools say they may not return to teach in the district in 2020-21 due to personal or family health concerns, in response to a survey on whether or not they plan on returning to work.

The survey was sent out Tuesday.
So far, out of the 1,649 teacher responses the district has received, 211 teachers responded with the answer.
The survey is open until Friday.
Jersey City is the state's second largest school district, and is surveying its approximately 3,000 teachers.
