Montclair is scaling back plans for their pedestrian plaza over concerns about spreading the coronavirus.

Church and South Park streets were slated to be closed Saturdays and Sundays to help bring increased foot traffic to business and encourage take-out dining.

The street closing is now planned for only Saturday.

The town says they are committed to providing a safe experience for visitors.

The streets will be closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Sept. 26.
